Company Background / History
VIDRALA Group production facilities have an excellent strategic location, getting a swift access to different markets. Their plants at Llodio (Alava), Caudete (Albacete), Castellar del Vallés (Barcelona), Marinha Grande (Portugal) and Corsico (Italy) are close to the major logistic centers, motorways, airports and sea ports of Cantabrian, Atlantean, Mediterranean and Adriatean coasts, offering an easy link to national and foreign markets.
VIDRALA´s first bottles were made with a single furnace, two small machines and a work-force of 80. In 1989 it founded CRISNOVA (wholly owned by Vidrala) in Caudete, in the province of Albacete. Like Vidrala itself, this company has state of the art facilities equipped with the most sophisticated manufacturing and control equipment.
The Vidrala Group is now the second largest glass container manufacturer in Spain, and the leading light bottle manufacturer. With all five of its furnaces working at full capacity it can produce 1.500 million containers per annum.
