Products or Machinery

Caleffi S.p.A., a leader in the production of Italian-made components for domestic and industrial heating, air conditioning and plumbing systems, and an expert supplier of state-of-the-art system solutions, will celebrate its fiftieth year of activity in 2011. This Italian company is at the heart of an international group which employs approximately 1,000 people in its various sales offices and representative branches throughout Europe, America and China. Since 2008, research and development programs relating to renewable energy sources have been ramped up. The main reasons for this are as follows: 1. the use of alternative sources is - and will remain - a matter of social responsibility which should also involve manufacturers; 2. the desire to remain up-to-date or “modern” is fundamental, since the development of technical and technological skills is one of the key factors for success; 3. the strengthening of renewable energy sources will open up markets which are also of interest to component manufacturers. In view of this, various product ranges are currently being engineered in response to the sensitive and extremely relevant issue of how to reduce the amount of energy consumed and wasted within a system (solutions also incorporate alternative heat sources): - Caleffi Solar (safety relief valves, air vents, deaerators, circulation units, mixing valves). - Heating Systems (preassembled heat metering units). - Temperature regulating units for panel systems. Intersolar 2009 will see the unveiling of the latest developments in the Solar range, which features new additions every year, to the point that it now requires its own dedicated section in the Product Catalogue. New products include: - SOLARINCAL-T and SOLARINCAL-T PLUS Solar thermostatic connection kits to boilers: these are preassembled and consist of an anti-scald mixing valve which can be adjusted using a knob for solar thermal systems; thermostatic diverter valve; pre-formed protective cover. SOLARINCAL-T is fitted to storage boilers, with thermal integration. SOLARINCAL-T PLUS is fitted to instantaneous boilers, with thermal integration. - SOLCAL 1 digital controller, for solar thermal systems. - Circulation units with DeltaSol® C+ solar controller. Features include: control of pressure increase by means of a safety relief valve with adjustable outlet; accurate flow rate regulation by means of a balancing valve with built-in flow meter and indicator with magnetic movement; separation of the air contained in the circuit with a deaerator device; flow and return temperature measurement.
