Products or Machinery

Envitec Solar GmbH plans to construct and operate a manufacturing facility for the production of photovoltaic modules with an annual production capacity of 20 MWp, and a planned expansion to 30 MWp. The facility will be located in the Heiligenkreuz Business Park located on the Austrian-Hungarian border in a new building with about 7,000 m2 of factory floor space and 1,000 m2 for offices and laboratories. The location of its business in Europe has a major advantage because EU governments are strongly committed to renewable energy, including solar.

The production plant will be state-of-the-art and will be constructed on a turnkey basis by Oerlikon Balzers Limited, a world leader in photovoltaic (PV) plant design and construction. The PV modules will be based on Thin Film Amorphous Silicon technology which has low production costs and significant operating advantages.

Construction of the facility is scheduled to start in mid 2008. Start of production is planned for mid 2009. Upgrading of the production capacity from 20 to 30 MWp is scheduled for 2011. Envitec’s technical management is highly experienced and capable of bringing in the project on time and on budget.
