SCHOTT® FLAT GLASS is a thermally toughened soda-lime float glass produced from a variety of raw materials including clear float, extra white, heat reflective, tinted and Stopsol. It is available in thicknesses from 3- 8 mm (10 and 12 mm on special request).

Due to its mechanical and thermal properties, processed toughened float glass is ideally used as a component for household appliances, commercial refrigeration appliances and many other industrial areas.

The typical processing route is:

Cutting
Grinding (contour/ shape and straight edge)
Drilling and/ or water jet cutting
Screen printing
Bending (sag and press)
Thermal toughening
Coating, laminating
Manual and automated assembly including gluing as well as full module production
