Directly connecting to the existing production site, two new furnaces will be built for the Schleusingen plant. Company ZIPPE was granted the turnkey execution of the required batch and cullet house installation as well as two cullet return systems.
The new batch and cullet house is designed to supply two melting furnaces.
Furthermore, two cullet return systems are part of the ZIPPE scope of supply. Five scraping conveyors as well as the approved crushing technology are implemented. The resulting internal cullet is conveyed directly into the cullet silos of the furnace building where it is returned to the melting process.

The line to supply the first melting furnace will be put into operation at the beginning of 2020, followed by line 2 shortly thereafter.

Zippe’s scope of supply includes the complete steelwork including silos, the equipment delivery, control system, as well as the complete services such as installation, cabling, piping, commissioning, and training of customer personnel.

ZIPPE is proud  to execute this new demanding project for Wiegand-Glas in Schleusingen after the big order at the Steinbach am Wald plant
