SWISSPACER helps Sheffield Window Centre’s customers cut heating bills

, SWISSPACER

Homeowner energy efficiency is at the heart of a 10-year partnership between SWISSPACER, the ‘Worldwide Warm Edge Leader’ and Sheffield Window Centre, a family business which has been manufacturing high quality PVC-U windows, doors and conservatory products for over 40 years. For the past decade, Sheffield Window Centre has used sealed units incorporating SWISSPACER’s warm edge spacer bar in all PVC-U and aluminium products.

Joe Walker, Retail Sales Manager of Sheffield Window Centre says: “Warm edge spacer bars are incredibly important when it comes to energy efficiency, since they greatly reduce heat loss through the window. Research shows that on an average semi-detached house in the UK, the homeowner can save around 10% a year on their annual heating bills when all windows fitted are ‘A’ rated or higher.”

“SWISSPACER’s warm edge spacer bar is tried and tested for excellent thermal efficiency and long-lasting results. That’s why all glass units used in our windows, conservatories, bi-folds and patio doors - and all products fitted with our own manufactured sealed units - have SWISSSPACER inside as standard.”

While traditional metal spacer bars are highly conductive and allow heat to transfer through the window, warm edge spacer bars, like SWISSSPACER, are made from an insulating plastic composite material that reduces heat loss through the sealed unit, keeping energy bills low. SWISSPACER also cuts the risk of condensation forming at the edge of the sealed unit and keeps rooms at a comfortable temperature. It is available in an unbeatable choice of 19 widths and 17 colours to suit a variety of products and applications.
