Glass facade elements with an amazing U-value

, Sedak Glass

The opaque facade glass sedak gsp intelligently combines glass and insulation and is also an individually adaptable standard solution with which glass facades can be implemented economically and energy-efficiently, with a U-value of up to 0.13 W/(m²K).

Aesthetic, highly insulating glass facades can now be implemented with sedak gsp. The special feature of the flexible facade solution is U-values up to 0.13 W/(m²K). According to the developers, sedak thus sets a new standard for the design of energy-efficient buildings.

System structure: sedak gsp consists of a glass pane (TVG 6 mm) that is structurally bonded to a conventional sandwich panel. The element is approved by the building authorities (abZ Z.10-4.67). The pane is the designable surface, which is printed weather-, UV- and heat-resistant according to the design draft.

Facade elements up to 20 metres possible

The sandwich panel provides the corresponding insulating properties. sedak offers the element in a maximum format of up to 20 metres in length.

"What makes sedak gsp unique is the high-quality design in combination with the brilliance of glass. Especially the classic types of buildings built in sandwich construction, from supermarkets to warehouses, become eye-catchers. The low U-value is an additional argument," says product manager Bernd Rösch.

The new glass product fits into the green agenda of the glass finisher, with which sedak is pursuing clear sustainability goals: In addition to the high thermal insulation, sedak gsp is also optimal for sustainable building, because all components are fully recyclable and can be returned to the material cycle after their life cycle.
