The German container glass manufacturer relies on HORN for equipping Furnace 4 with state-of-the-art technology. The project includes the complete planning of the refractories and steel construction for the furnace, distributor and five forehearths.
On June 26, the cold test of Furnace 4 took place at Noelle + von Campe’s Boffzen plant as part of the furnace repair. Following an old tradition, Verena Eichmann-Pokorny placed the final refractory brick into its designated position, symbolically completing the topping-out ceremony.
Our subsidiary HORN Bau & Service GmbH was responsible for the furnace heat-up process. The glass flow started as planned just a few minutes ago.
