Misr Glass Manufacturing Company S.A.E (MGM) is an Egyptian Joint Stock company specialized in the production of quality lightweight flint, green and amber glass containers for a variety of consumer and pharmaceutical products.
MGM was established in 2004 under law 8 of 1997 with authorized licensed capital of L.E 500 million and issued capital of L.E 50 million. In the same year, MGM purchased the fixed assets of El–Nasr Glass Company at Mostorod, which was sold as part of Egypt’s privatization program.
El Nasr Glass Factory was a public sector company established in 1970 using at that time the latest technology of bottling formation to manufacture new types of light weight bottles and pharmaceutical ampoules.
Combining experienced employees in El Nasr transferred to MGM after acquisition with state-of-the art equipment in glass forming and ampoule manufacturing technology as well as international technical know how transfer, the company is set to achieve great success in the local and international markets.
Major Shareholders of the company are El-Zayat Group who was the previous owner of Al-Ahram Beverages Company before its recent acquisition by Heineken International. El-Zayat Group succeeded in making Al-Ahram one of, if not, Egypt’s best privatization success story. The Management of MGM is intending to repeat Al-Ahram success story.
With headquarters in Cairo, MGM provides superior services for the production and decoration of glass containers for consumer and pharmaceutical products, serving both the domestic and international market.
