Packaging Innovations NEC February 2024 (stand K62): Aegg to Launch New Spirit Bottle as Part of its Range of Food and Drink Packaging

, Aegg

Aegg Creative Packaging, UK-based glass and recyclable plastic food & drink packaging supplier, will be exhibiting at stand K62 on 21-22 February at the NEC Packaging Innovations event.  Aegg will launch its new spirit bottle, the ‘Gediz’, following on from the recent successful launch of the ‘Yenice’ spirit bottle.  Also at the stand will be Aegg’s wider range of packaging aimed at the food and drink industry, including glass sauce bottles, jars, water bottles and a range of Plastic Packaging Tax-exempt rigid plastic food pots.

Following the recent successful launch of Aegg’s ‘Yenice’ spirit bottle, which is now used for supermarket-own brand spirits as well as exclusive spirit brands, Aegg is now officially launching the new ‘Gediz’ spirit bottle.   Part of Aegg’s exclusive-to-the-UK spirit bottle range, the 70cl Gediz is now in stock at Aegg’s warehouse in Suffolk.

Produced by a BRC accredited manufacturer, the Gediz bottle design creates instant shelf appeal, through its extra-large panel area for screen printing, transfer work or label application. The Gediz has an elegant and distinct design, suited to many spirit-based products with the option of neck label application if required.  The Yenice and Gediz spirit bottles are in stock now and ready to order, with more bottles being added to the collection in the coming months.

Aegg’s carefully curated range of flint 70cl spirits bottles are ideal for a variety of spirits including whisky, gin, vodka, and rum. The ‘Yenice’ is on average 20%* lighter than other similar bottles available in the UK. The lighter weight makes it more environmentally friendly, as it uses fewer raw materials and creates less CO2 during manufacturing and onward distribution. Even though the bottle is lighter, there is absolutely no compromise on quality and it is fully recyclable.

*Based on comparing the weight of 6 similar bottles currently available in the UK, with an average weight of 669g. The Yenice bottle weighs 525g.

Sales Director, Richard Drayson said “We have partnered with carefully vetted strategic glass partners to bring this core range of exclusive spirits bottles to the UK. The timeless designs of the glass bottles and commercially attractive prices make these bottles an ideal choice for spirits brands and supermarkets.”

Alongside the expanding spirit bottle collection, Aegg will also showcase its wider range of glass and rigid plastic packaging.  This includes packaging for water, soft drinks, tonics, fizzy drinks, soups, sauces, vinegars & oils, preserves, spreads, desserts and starters.

In addition, Aegg will also have on its stand its range of Plastic Packaging Tax-exempt rigid plastic food pots, which are produced in-house at Aegg’s manufacturing hub in Suffolk.

Richard Drayson goes on to say “Packaging Innovations is a great opportunity for us to show off our diverse range of off-the-shelf and bespoke packaging options.  From glass water and sauce bottles, to preserve jars and spirit bottles, all our glass packaging is sourced from our very carefully vetted supply partners, picked for their exemplary quality and sustainability credentials.  We also manufacture recyclable plastic packaging in-house at our Suffolk manufacturing hub, including tax-exempt rigid plastic food pots.  Backed up by our excellent customer service and availability of stock, many supermarkets and food/ drinks manufacturers choose us for their packaging supply.”
