GREEN ECOGLASS Energy Saving Glass® is a registered trademark of double and triple chamber insulated glass owned by Cristalería Encinas, one of the most established companies in the glass sector in Spain. Founded in 1978 and with more than 35 years of experience manufacturing insulated double and triple glazing.

Tempered glass, also known as toughened glass, is a type of safety glass processed by thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength compared to regular glass.

This process subjects’ raw glass to controlled rapid heating and cooling. As a result, the outer surfaces are put in compression and the inner surfaces in tension. When broken, tempered glass crumbles into small granular pieces rather than splintering into large, jagged fragments, reducing the likelihood of causing injury. Some features and advantages of tempered glass include:

  • Impact resistance
  • Compressive strength
  • Torsional strength
  • Bending strength
