Glassman Middle East opens its doors tomorrow so we wanted to send you a reminder of the content that will be on offer at the free-to-attend exhibition and conference.

Taking place at Abu Dhabi’s ADNEC on the 10th and 11th May, the exhibition will feature a range of international suppliers to the hollow glass industry, covering the entire spectrum of hollow glass manufacture – from batch plants to packaging systems.

Exhibiting companies are coming from the UK, Germany, Italy, France and the USA amongst others, and visitors will also be able to meet with the Italian Ambassador to the UAE when he opens the show.

Attending the conference as keynote speakers are Nicholas Hodler, CEO of Arc International’s UAE operation, and Saeed Kalafchi, Director of Iran’s premier tableware manufacturer Noritazeh. Other speakers include the Technical Director of Stara Glass, who will be discussing the company's new Centauro furnace technology, and Andrea Bertinelli from Emmeti, who will be discussing the company’s success in its latest project for Park Cam.

The UAE’s location is unbeatable in terms of reaching businesses in the growing and dynamic countries of Africa, India and the surrounding GCC countries, and the region itself is home to plentiful reserves of both oil and natural gas.

Iran in particular is becoming a prominent place to do business, boasting a thriving container and tableware manufacturing industry. The recent  removal of trade sanctions with Iran has prompted a flurry of investment interest in the country, and we are pleased to confirm that manufacturers from Iran have registered to attend the event, as have prominent industry figures from India’s HNG, the US’s Gallo Glass, and France’s SGD, as well as, of course, manufacturers from the UAE itself such as Frigoglass, Altajir Glass, Rak Ghani Glass, and Arc International.
