Verallia is to make 100 jobs redundant in Germany.
The French-headquartered glass container manufacturer said it had made the decision due to difficult conditions in the German glass market.
It said: “Verallia has decided to implement a plan to reduce its workforce and costs.
“This plan, which particularly concerns the Bad Wurzach and Essen sites, is expected to result in around 100 departures at an estimated cost of around €10 million.”
