Quality assurance measures for processed recycled cullet, in particular glass from solar modules

Duration of analysis

There have been occasional misunderstandings in the past regarding the processing times of orders. Therefore we would like to draw your attention to the fact, that we distinguish between standard analyses and rush analyses. In order to be able to classify your orders accordingly, it is very important for us to know whether your samples are routine analyses or urgent analyses (e.g. in the event of incidents). Of course, we are happy to help you 24/7 if necessary due to the given urgency, but that can lead to additional effort and costs. For more details please see: https://igrgmbh.de/en/analysis-duration-processing-time/.

For that reason, when placing an order, please assure to use our sample submission form, which you can download from our homepage (https://igrgmbh.de/en/downloads/) at any time, regardless of the urgency – and please feel free to send it in advance via e-mail to us. Especially for rush analyses this facilitates the planning of resources and shortens the analysis duration. For incidents it is additionally very important to name a contact person and data at your side that can be reached by us during the whole analysis time for clarifications and also receives the first results.

Facing the question, to which problems it may lead in melting when using recycled silicon-stabilised solar modules, we have performed some laboratory melting tests with soda-lime glass batch and recycling glass. First results and conclusions can be found here: https://igrgmbh.de/2025/02/10/qualitaetssicherungsmassnahmen-von-aufbereiteten-recyclingscherben-hier-insbesondere-glas-aus-solarmodulen/?highlight=Solarmodule

Software on a rental basis

NEW: We now offer you a software solution on a rental basis that makes it possible to calculate the redox states - both for Fe2+ and for other polyvalent elements (such as Cr6+) - without time-consuming individual analyses. This also applies to amber glass. A sample can be found here: https://igrgmbh.de/2025/03/15/software-auf-mietbasis/?highlight=Software

And finally: We have completely revised our homepage and also modernised our design a little. Please feel free to take a look at www.igrgmbh.de/en/
