Sefpro to acquire Glass Service

French refractories group Sefpro is to acquire Glass Service of the Czech Republic.

The acquisition also includes Glass Service's sister companies: electric melting systems supplier F.I.C (UK) as well as FlammaTec burner systems supplier.

Laurent Cohen-Scali, Sefpro Vice President, said the acquisition will enable it to offer more end-to-end solutions to customers.

“This acquisition will help us create more value for our customers as it strongly reinforces our offering of Sefpro Guard services, adding predictive, diagnostic, and data-driven solutions to extend furnace lifetime, improve energy efficiency, and accelerate electrification.”

Erik Muijsenberg, Vice President at Glass Service, said: "While the Glass Service, F.I.C UK and FlammaTec teams will continue to work independently, our cooperation with SEFPRO will provide us with greater resources to expand our technology and implement decarbonisation strategies to all glass customers.

"We are committed to serving our customers with the same level of trust and excellence they have come to expect from us.

"Our customers’ contacts within Glass Service, FIC (UK), and FlammaTec remain unchanged. We look forward to continuing our cooperation with our customers and embarking on this new adventure."

The acquisition is expected to be completed before the end of June this year.
