Als neutrales Glas mit unsichtbarer Anti-Korrosions-Beschichtung ist „Luxclear“ von AGC Glass Europe für die Anwendung in Duschen, Brüstungen und Wintergärten prädestiniert. Die Glasoberfläche wird durch die spezielle Beschichtung dauerhaft vor Kalkablagerungen, dem Anhaften von Seifenresten und dem Eintrüben durch Glaskorrosion geschützt. Die Art der Beschichtung stellte AGC jetzt auf neues Offline-Magnetron-Verfahren um, bei dem die Beschichtung durch physikalische Gasabscheidung (PVD) aufgebracht wird – das erlaubt mehr Flexibilität bei der Glasauswahl: Luxclear ist darum jetzt auch auf dem besonders eisenarmen und hellen Basisglas „Clearvision“ und auf „Linnea Azzurra“ verfügbar, das mit seiner eleganten bläulichen Kante eine besondere Ästhetik erzeugt.
Luxclear ist besonders beständig gegen Chemikalien und Glaskorrosion (Klasse A nach EN1096-2) und bewahrt mit hoher Farbneutralität die originale Ästhetik des eingesetzten Glases. Zur Reinigung wird es umweltfreundlich und kostengünstig mit klarem Wasser abgespült. Das Glas kann mit ähnlichen Parametern weiterverarbeitet und vorgespannt werden wie Floatglas derselben Dicke. Es kann gerade, kreis- oder in Bogenformen zugeschnitten werden, auch Kantenschliff, Bohren und Kerben sind Routine. Spezialbehandlungen wie das Laminieren oder Veredeln durch Bedruckungen sind ebenfalls möglich. Nach dem abschließenden Vorspannen beim Weiterverarbeiter ist das Endprodukt ein robustes Einscheibensicherheitsglas (ESG) und damit direkt beim Endanwender installierbar. Luxclear besitzt eine Garantie von 10 Jahren.
