Glass worker dies in Heinz-Glas furnace fire

A worker has died after a furnace fire at the Heinz-Glas manufacturing site in DziaƂdowo.

The fire broke out at 7am on Wednesday last week after a furnace leak. More than 40 people were evacuated but four people were injured and another died.

Heinz-Glas said: “We thank the rescue workers, the fire department, the police and all of our employees who do their best to deal with this tragic situation.

“Our sympathy goes to the families and relatives of the victims. We assure our colleagues in Poland of the support of the other locations."

Heinz-Glas is a manufacturers of glass flacons and caps for the perfume and cosmetics industry.
