Dennis Weitmann, Produktionsleiter bei Wolff + Meier, pilotiert mit seinem Team A+W iShape und setzt es dabei bereits im Echtbetrieb ein:
„Die größten Vorteile von A+W iShape sind für uns, dass wir eine mobile Lösung haben, mit der wir Schablonen schnell und unkompliziert digitalisieren können, ohne dabei Zuschnitt-Tische zu belegen.
Es ist unkompliziert, indem ich einfach nur ein Foto von der Schablone mache ohne vorher noch groß referenzieren zu müssen. Das Digitalisieren der Modelle an sich geht deutlich schneller als zuvor, weil ich das mit einem einzigen Foto erledigen kann.“ Dennis fotografiert die Schablone vor einem Referenzobjekt, mit dessen Hilfe das Programm eventuelle Verzerrungen korrigiert.
Die Kontur wird von A+W iShape erkannt und in einen Strom von Konturpunkten umgewandelt. Dieser Punktstrom wird in eine durch Bögen und Linien definierte Form umgewandelt, auf deren Basis die weitere Verarbeitung erfolgt.
Die Shape wird nun im A+W CAD Designer dargestellt und weiterbearbeitet. Hier werden falsch erkannte Konturen, etwa Beschriftungen sowie Spuren von Aufklebern oder anderen Befestigungsmitteln, korrigiert. Am Ende steht eine saubere, exakte CAD-Datei der Schablone. Die CNC-Dateien zur Fertigung werden direkt im A+W CAD-Designer erzeugt. Eine halbe Stunde nach dem ‚Klick‘ mit der Smartphone-Kamera kann die Scheibe produziert werden – selbstverständlich millimetergenau nach den Vorgaben des Kunden.
