All set for raw materials in glassmaking conference

Raw Materials are the theme this year with the Society of Glass Technology.

Following the success of its Furnace Solutions Meeting in Stoke on Trent, UK in June, they continue the theme at their Annual General meeting at Cambridge in September. Two days will be devoted to all aspects of raw materials, starting from why we use the ones we do now, especially sand, soda ash and cullet, followed by a review of the increased importance of glass recycling.

It will investigate other materials that could be used in glassmaking in the future in a bid to be carbon free. The Society of Glass Technology Annual Conference takes place in Cambridge UK on September 2-4
