, Messe Düsseldorf

Apply now for the START-UP ZONE or the BMWE YOUNG INNOVATORS joint stand

Innovations emerge where fresh ideas meet strong networks. And exactly this space has been created by glasstec with two clearly differentiated participation formats for start-ups. Through the BMWE YOUNG INNOVATORS joint stand and the START-UP ZONE the world-leading trade fair of the glass industry held in Düsseldorf from 20 to 23 October 2026 will grant young companies access to a high-calibre international trade audience. With over 1,250 exhibitors from 50 countries and around 32,000 trade visitors from 121 nations glasstec 2024 already provided the setting for exposure, exchange and growth.

The BMWE YOUNG INNOVATORS joint stand is a grant scheme offered by the Federal German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) to support young, innovative companies headquartered in Germany that want to participate in leading international trade fairs. The grant includes up to 60% co-funding of stand rental and stand construction fees for the joint stand.

The START-UP ZONE is an exhibition area specifically devised by glasstec for up-and-coming national and international enterprises with innovative products, technologies and business models. Participating companies benefit from a package of services that not only includes the exhibition space for showcasing the exhibits but also additional services such as the media flat-rate for garnering more attention and leads.

In addition, firms participating in either of these formats are given the opportunity to present their solutions as part of a talk on the stage of the glasstec conference. Beyond this, they will be involved in glasstec’s communication and marketing activities early on.

Both formats target young companies that seek direct exchange with industry experts as well as representatives from business, research and political spheres. The international attendance of glasstec and the high percentage of decision-makers among visitors create the ideal prerequisites for this – all the way to building sustainable business relations. Start-ups seeking to pitch their innovations internationally and to take their business to the next level, are invited to apply for one of the limited spots in the START-UP ZONE or the BMWE YOUNG INNOVATORS joint stand now. Deadline for applications is 15 June 2026.
