Pilkington UK launches Texture by Pilkington™ to meet modern design and trade needs

, NSG

Pilkington United Kingdom Limited, part of the NSG Group, has launched Texture by Pilkington™ - a refreshed and reorganised range of patterned glass designed to help the glass sector meet rising demand for privacy, light, and decorative design in modern interiors.

The move represents a realignment of its textured glass range, making it easier for merchants, fabricators and installers to specify and sell the right product to their customers. The new structure groups the range into three clear collections - Any Room, Eternal and Icon - reflecting the growing diversity of projects where textured glass is being used.

While demand for textured glass has grown in recent years, many merchants told Pilkington UK in recent polling that end customers are seeking designs that feel more contemporary, particularly for bathrooms, internal screens and decorative partitions.

The new range responds to that by blending heritage patterns with modern, biophilic-inspired designs created in collaboration with interior designer Oliver Heath.

Manufactured in St Helens using a newly built, more efficient rolled glass line, Texture by Pilkington™ combines British-made quality and reliability with an updated, design-led presentation for today’s market

Any Room comprises of versatile, modern patterns suited to most spaces, providing softened light and privacy without closing off open-plan layouts. Eternal features classic and heritage-inspired textures, echoing the look of traditional British interiors for retrofits and refurbishments. Meanwhile, Icon provides bold statement designs that act as a feature in their own right, ideal for partitions, entrances, and kitchen glazing.

Every pattern carries a privacy rating from 1 to 5, and all are available in toughened and laminated options compatible with double and triple glazing units.

Pilkington UK has backed the range launch with new trade marketing materials, counter displays and a redesigned merchant brochure showing side-by-side pattern visuals and privacy levels.

James Simpson, Marketing Manager at Pilkington UK, said: “Texture glass remains a critical offering for the UK glass trade, but homeowners now expect more choice and a clearer story around design and application. We have curated the Texture by Pilkington™ collections to make it easier for merchants to sell and homeowners to choose.

“As one of the only large-scale textured glass ranges made in Britain, the range gives our trade partners and suppliers a reliable, quality-assured option they can trust their margins on.”

Oliver Heath, Director at Oliver Heath Design, added: “These designs show how glass can do more than divide space - it can add warmth, tactility and a sense of comfort. In homes and workplaces, textured glass helps shape light and supports the growing interest in natural, biophilic interiors.”
