The 3-day glasspex/glasspro INDIA exhibitions from Sept 10-12 at Bombay Exhibition Centre saw once again industry members getting together from around the world to learn on new technological developments.
By all means, the first ever AI conference on glass making hosted by the AIGMF in association with Messe Dusseldorf and Glass Futures was a huge success. The participants touched 135+ from all segments of glass, which was made possible with the support of sponsors namely- AGI, Cello, Dukhiram Maurya, HNG, La Opala, Mascot, NES and Yera. The high interest in the subjects were evident with professionals from industry associations i.e. GSI, AIGMF, FOSG; universities i.e. DTU, VSU Nellore; research bodies i.e. Glass Futures, CGCRI, IIT; Glass International, Glass Global; manufacturers and suppliers coming together to debate on technology enhancement for hi-tech glass manufacturing and processing.
The technical papers were presented by IIT Delhi, Glass Service CZ, Heye International, Iris Inspection machines, Siemens, Gridbots Technologies and Celsian.
The AIGMF's book launch on excellence in container glass manufacturing and calendar glass bottle 2026 also received wonderful support along with a plenty of enquiries.
A comprehensive coverage in Glass News, KANCH and AIGMF website along with select photos, PPTs would be done in due course. Our webmaster somehow could not participate owing to some medical emergency BUT we feel privileged to inform that wef Sept 11, our website has also become faster in browsing, by adopting better IT tools, new layouts and has now a better look and tabs. The improvements are still on and suggestions are welcome at info@aigmf.com
Members are encouraged to email the best 1-2 still shots of the glasspex/glasspro event, the shortlisted ones would be used in our publications/websites and will be sent a surprise gift from the Secretariat.
We sincerely wished to have the conference relayed over a Hybrid mode, BUT a connection of Rs. 2,00,000+ per day at NESCO is certainly beyond the reach even for a richer class. AIGMF's efforts of securing a dedicated 100 Mbps Airtel connection failed as jammers at the site probably prevented Airtel from functioning properly, which is a shame.
Our special thanks is due to all those who visited our booth from all parts of the world. On a thanksgiving note, all members of the AIGMF who had put up their stall at the show would be sent a complimentary copy of a calendar glass bottle 2026 (specially done by AGI for the event) and a copy of a Glass manufacturing book.
Our heartfelt thanks to the entire AIGMF team, VC of VSU Nellore for providing 6 volunteer students helping us to brand the AIGMF events in flying colours.
Please note the theme for the 16th AIGMF International conference will centre around 'Developing an unbreakable Glass and solutions' to be held parallel to glasspex and glasspro exhibitions in 2027. We are looking for yet another record participation and would welcome papers on the subject covering flat, hollow, solar, vials, decorative and tableware.
Thank you once again to one and all
