glasstec was included in the grant scheme initiated by the Federal German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) in 2007 to promote trade fair participation of young innovative companies.
With this grant scheme the BMWE enable young German firms to participate in leading international trade fairs in Germany at favourable terms as part of a joint stand to support the marketing of innovative products as best as possible.

Who is eligible?
Eligible are companies that distinguish themselves by the new development or material improvement of products, processes and services as well as their market launch. The developments and/or improvements have to differ from existing products, processes and services in material functions. The company must classify as industry, skilled crafts or technology-oriented services.
Criteria:
- The company has its registered office and place of business in Germany
- The company must have been established less than 10 years ago
- The company's annual turnover or balance sheet total must not exceed 10 million
- The company's headcount must not exceed 50 employees
- A newly developed product or process
- No other allowances for the trade fair participation are received
- Participation as part of a joint stand; several themed stands are possible
- A minimum of 10 participants apply (exclusively with grant)
- Stand sizes per participant are set (12sqm,15sqm and 18sqm; no extensions)
What is eligible for the grant?
Of the total costs exhibitors have to pay for trade fair participation only the stand rental and stand construction costs invoiced by the trade fair organiser for participation in the joint stand are eligible for the grant. In total, three participations of one company in the same trade fair can be subsidised.
Total funding amounts
- 1st & 2nd trade fair participation 60% co-funding, 40% own funds
- 3rd participation 50% co-funding, 50% own funds
- Total funding amount: max EUR 7,500 per exhibitor and trade fair
