Graphoidal Developments Ltd is a specialist lubrication engineering company, supplying lubrication systems to the glass container and tableware industries. Our expertise is in IS machine Lubrication systems, Shear Spray Systems and Cold End Spray and Dosing systems, which are a vital part of the glass production process in IS machine operation, gob forming and cold end coating.

The company´s expertise in shear spray applications and precision mixing control led to the introduction of the Modular concept of centralised shear spray systems in 1993. The first modular system was introduced into the UK and to date more than 550 lines worldwide are equipped with this system, for shear blade lubrication and cooling.
The success of the modular system for plant wide aplications was followed in 1998 with a single line Shear Spray unit for one forming machine.
1998 also saw the company´s entry into the market with a new concept in cold end coating, an automatic Overbelt and Underbelt Spray system to apply a lubrication coating prior to the inspection and filling. The first system to provide data access and job history,a comprehensive alarm system and precise 2 - direction below finish spraying.
2000 saw the introduction of the Multi Cycle Lubrication Control system for IS machines, a system based on dividing the machine into separate control zones and which improves the lubricating efficiency, but reduces oil consumption by around 50%. This also reduces waste oil recovery costs and environmental pollution.
Our company continues to grow and develop new products and in April 2004 moved to new, larger premises in Chesterfield. UK
