Vitro establishes a new record in awardsThe Mexican Container and Packaging Association (AMEE) granted 49 awards to bottles designed and manufactured by Vitro for the wine and liquor, drug, food, cosmetic and soda pop industries during its annual 2007 AMEE competition. Among the 49 awards is included the prestigious "Star Award for Export Packaging" that was awarded to Vitro´s container designed for Comercializadora de Pulques y Bebidas Poliqui, S.A. de C:V: a company that revived the concept of pulque, an ancestral drink from Mexico, by repositioning it towards a younger market. The "Star Award for Export Packaging" rewards those containers that promote the export of Mexican products as well as originality in design and the use of innovative materials.
