Texas PPG Plant Closed After Torrential StormsPPG Industries Inc.’s Wichita Falls, Texas, plant was forced to temporarily cease operations on Aug. 19 due to excessive flooding from torrential storms the day before, leading to some service interruptions. Orcutt told customers in a letter that their PPG sales representative would follow up to address any issues regarding the flooding. Production was temporarily halted on both float glass lines at the Wichita Falls facility, but workers were able to restore glassmaking on one.
