ROBOTIC PACK PALLETISER FOR BEATSON CLARKBeatson Clark has invested over Ģ200,000 in a robotic pack palletiser to service the amber glass production lines at its Rotherham plant. The robot, supplied by Japanese firm, Fanuk, was installed in April. Following just over a month of trials, the machine began operating full time & is already delivering improved efficiencies in a number of areas. Two amber glass production lines producing over 80 different products, each with their own unique pack size, are constantly running to the robot. The unit can palletise 16 pre-formed, film wrapped packs per minute. Beatonīs projects manager Colin Rimmer said: "The new robot will significantly speed up the palletisation process & also improve quality of the packs. It is operated with state-of-the-art technology including a touch screen information panel, & servo controls for accurate speed & positional control. Basically, it does exactly what it is told and delivers 100% repeatability every time."
Beatson Clark is committed to improvement & the robotic pack palletiser represents the latest phase of its ongoing investment programme. 30.11.2006, Beatson Clark News material on the Site is copyright and belongs to the Company or to its third party news provider, and all rights are reserved.
