Raute Precision wins big orders from North AmericaRaute Precision Oy has won large glass batch plant and mortar plant orders from Mexico and the USA. The total value of the orders amounts to 14 million euros.
Raute Precision will deliver a batch plant and a cullet return system to Saint-Gobain, for their new float glass line in Mexico. Engineering, machinery and equipment for the plant will be supplied by the end of 2006 and production is scheduled to begin during 2007. The second major order is a mortar plant for Central Mortar and Grout in the USA. In addition to the supply of engineering, machinery, equipment and automation as well as installation and commissioning services, Raute Precision will develop for the customer a full range of dry mortars and plasters to be produced in the plant. Delivery is to take place mainly in 2006 and the plant is scheduled to start operation in April 2007. Central Mortar and Grout is a new customer, and the plant will be an important reference for Raute Precision in the USA, where the use of dry mortars and plasters is gaining ground. Saint-Gobain is one of the leading glass and mortar producers worldwide and a long-term customer of Raute Precision, with 18 delivered or upgraded plants since the1980s.
