Raute Precision received batch plant orders from Poland and Slovakia

The glass industry unit of Raute Precision Oy has received significant glass batch plant orders from Poland and Slovakia. To Poland, Raute delivers process machinery and control system to Thomson Multimedia Polska Sp. Zo´s TV tube factory in Piaseczno. Skloplast a.s. from Slovakia has ordered a turnkey batch plant to its glass fiber factory in Trnava. Skloplast a.s.is a member of the global, US based Johns Manville group, which is one of the leading manufacturers of premium-quality building and specialty products. The factors behind the purchase decision were Raute Precision’s good reputation as a batch plant expert as well as many successful plant references. To total value of the above orders is approximately 4 million euros. The machinery deliveries will take place in 2003 – 2004. Start-up of the Skloplast’s batch plant is planned for autumn 2004. The coming European Union member status has attracted companies to invest in the Central Eastern European countries. In addition to the orders from Poland and Slovakia, Raute Precision is currently delivering a batch plant including control system to the glass fiber plant of Saint-Gobain Vertex a.s. in Hodonice, Czech Republic.
