Quality applications require stable gas pressure

Until now it has not been possible to obtain industrial quality, maintenance-free oxygen regulators with constant flow in the low pressure part of the range. With their 737LE-ND model, Witt, the leading gas technology specialists, are introducing a high-quality dome pressure regulator, with such a broad spectrum of use that it by far surpasses conventional systems.

Pressure fluctuations in the gas supply are a risk for industrial manufacturing processes. They come about due to variations in gas flow quantities or to pressure surges when valves in the working gas pipe network are opened or closed. A constant concentration of gas is absolutely essential when supplying burner systems in particular, in order that the quality of thermal processes may be guaranteed.

Dome pressure regulators provide effective protection here: At the outlet point they ensure that there is the requisite balance between the pressure of the gas supply pipe and the working pressure in the system to which the gas is being supplied. Although mass-produced articles for natural gas do exist in the lower market segment, customers have up to date had difficulty in finding an appropriate solution for top-quality industrial applications.

This gap in the market has now been filled by Witt-Gasetechnik, manufacturers of safety valves and process plants for gases. With the new 737LE-ND millibar regulator the company from Witten is introducing an extremely versatile product; It is suitable not only for compressed air, but also for oxygen, natural gas, hydrogen and other challenging gases, making it without doubt an innovative product in this segment.

The new model impresses with its many advantages:
- The regulator is suitable for large outlet areas as well as for numerous gases
- The selection of high-quality materials such as aluminium and stainless steel means that long service-life is guaranteed resulting in low costs
- The regulator can be fitted in any position. It can be used as a replacement for existing installations or to upgrade them
- The dome pressure regulator according to EN 631 ensures that process results are constant. It functions independently of pressure surges in the gas inlet

This solid valve weighs less than 2 kg and is fitted with 3/4 inch gas connectors. Two 1/8 inch connectors are available for cases where separate control air is to be used. The back pressure is chambered, an external impulse pipe is fitted on the downstream side for gas feedback. Manometers can be connected directly to the valve to simplify the trouble-shooting process.
