POCO Beefs up Glass Market Support in North America

Poco Graphite Inc. announced the promotion of LaVon Hayes to field support representative for POCO´s glass product line. Over the last eight years, Ms. Hayes has held a number of different positions at POCO. As an inside support representative, she worked with industrial and semiconductor customers handling technical issues relating to material selection and manufacturing of components. Her background will be an asset as she serves glass container customers focusing on materials and components to lower CoO through improved component performance. According to Scott Sirignano, General Sales Manager, "This is just one of the many steps POCO has taken in recent months to expand the products, service and support we offer to our glass industry customers. We have made field support our priority for this market and Ms. Hayes has proven background and technical skills to provide this needed service". In another effort to better serve glass industry customers, POCO recently developed modeling software to compare the cost/performance of competitive insert materials and to expand its program of field testing of new product designs and materials.
