Palletising without downtime for job change

The MSK palletiser range has again been supplemented by a further module with high customer benefit: The new universal palletiser head MSK UNITECH palletises different glass container types without downtime for the job change and can also be used for the palletising of cases.

It is a great challenge for the palletiser when glass containers with different shapes must be packaged on pallets in a running production. For each job change the downtime of the machine is necessary when the palletiser head must be converted to a new container type. MSK has now developed a special palletiser system, that can universally palletise different glass containers, as well as cases with only one palletiser head.

The concept of the universal palletiser MSK UNITECH was presented for the first time at the GLASSTEC exhibition 2006 in Düsseldorf, Germany, and has awoken great interest. The new palletiser offers maximum flexibility for the processing at the cold end and avoids cost-intensive downtime of production for job changes. "A particular advantage of the new system is, that the glass containers or cases can be picked up directly from the table and not behind it. "Compared to other existing systems on the market, this enables space saving construction", states Marketing and Sales Director Uwe Jonkmanns. In addition to that the system offers further cost saving potentials, as up to the present necessary palletising systems can now be replaced by one universal solution. This simplifies the operation and maintenance of the machine and reduces the needed spare parts to a minimum.
