NIS Servo Machine — fully grown!

The need for an ever increasing container production performance drove the introduction of the new quadruple gob configuration at the Servo Electric NIS machine family. It offers even more flexibility and a higher productivity to the glass container industry.

The NIS ware range is now extended from a typical 5" TG (Triple Gob) «wine bottle» center distance to a 95 mm QG (Quadruple Gob) center distance. The 95 mm QG configuration allows the container production at a maximum body diameter of 65 mm and covers for example all typical NNPB (Narrow Neck Press & Blow) beer bottles. Furthermore, the capability of center distance transformation (95 mm QG ↔ 5" TG ↔ 6¼" DG) during a shift is a matchless feature.

This new configuration allows a very cost-effective production of 0.3 liter beer bottles in quadruple gob respectively 0.75 liter wine or 1 liter spirit bottles in triple gob on the same machine. Due to this exceptional flexibility, the NIS machine is rapidly adaptable to fluctuations or changes in the glass container market.

Based on the servo technology, mechanism motions are both programmable and extremely repeatable in respect of operation speed and motion profile. The production specific optimized motions are recorded on the respective job file. This technology not only enables optimization of the forming process, but also creates a controlled manufacturing process while reducing variation during production.

The NIS is now recognized as the top machine on the market, outperforming conventional pneumatic IS machines for beer and wine bottle production.
