New Multigas Fillers from Thermoseal GroupThermoseal Group has introduced a new range of gas fillers designed to help insulated glass manufacturers to meet the growing demand for gas-filled sealed units. The new range will be demonstrated at the Glassex 2008 Show at the NEC (Stand B60-4, 8-10 April) as part of the Thermosealīs drive to help sealed unit manufacturers to achieve an official EN1279 part 3 Certificate. This Certificate is now vital in gaining legally viable Window Energy Ratings (WERs) on gas-filled units. Designed and built from Thermosealīs own Birmingham factory, the range consists of seven models with different gas input, output and speed features. Machines include: NM Multigas Fillers, Standard NM Gas Fillers and Multigas machines. All NM Multigas Fillers are made with 1-2 variable speed ports for filling with Argon (Ar), Krypton (K) Xenon (X). The advanced system on these machines ensures they can be used with all gases for sealed unit production. Standard NM Gas Fillers are for Ar fast-filling only. Multigas 1 and the Multigas 2 machines are for use with any gas, but do not have the fast-fill feature. Mark Hickox, Sales Director at Thermoseal Group, says: "Most high performance double glazed sealed units are now filled with an inert gas such as Argon to increase its thermal efficiency. "Argon gas is usually sufficient for use, but on the odd occasion manufacturers may have a request for another gas. We have produced our new range of machines with this in mind. "All of our gas filling machines are lightweight, easily transportable and changing the gas is as simple as swapping the gas bottle. Youīll find a machine suitable for all levels of sealed unit manufacture and they can be easily moved out of your way when you donīt need them."
