Glaverbel start gerenoveerde figuurglasoven in Roux

Begin maart ging de figuurglasoven van Glaverbel in Roux (België) weer van start, na een volledige opknapbeurt die drie maanden duurde. Tegelijk werden de twee stroomafwaartse productielijnen weer op niveau gebracht. Met deze investering van zowat 20 miljoen € kan de optimale kwaliteit in de figuurglasproductie gehaald worden en is meteen een krachtig productie-apparaat beschikbaar voor de ontwikkeling van nieuwe producten.

In 2004 had Glaverbel Roux de lijn al grondig gewijzigd, onder meer om de capaciteit aan te sluiten op de vraag naar producten in grote afmetingen. "Alle werken die sindsdien gebeurden, kaderen in een beleid om van de fabriek een Europees topcentrum te maken inzake productie en ontwikkeling van figuurglas", stelt Jean-François Heris, President van AGC Flat Glass Europe - Glaverbel.

Zoals blijkt uit het ruime Glaverbel gamma dat wereldwijd uitgevoerd wordt, is figuurglas vandaag de dag een trend in de binnenhuisinrichting.
