Wie das Internetportal www.glaswelt.de meldet, erhöht DuPont Glass Laminating Solutions mit Wirkung zum 1. Januar 2008 die Preise für alle Typen einer Butacite Polyvinylbutyral-Zwischenlagen für Verbund-Sicherheitsglas weltweit um 15 %. Der Grund für diese Maßnahme liegt in den kontinuierlich steigenden Preise für petrochemische Rohstoffe, Energie und Logistik. Dazu Torkel Rhenman, Global Business Director bei DuPont Glass Laminating Solutions: „Die Knappheit bei VAM (Vinyl-Acetat-Monomer) und die Kostensteigerungen bei Ethan und Ethylen, den Haupt-Rohstoffen für PVB, haben dessen Herstellung im Jahr 2007 massiv verteuert.
