Decanter on Iittalan uutuus, joka lisää viininautintoa juuri nyt kun viinistä on tullut osa suomalaisten arkea ja juhlaa. Decanter on italialaisen huippumuotoilijan Antonio Citterion käsialaa yhteistyössä Toan Nguyen kanssa.

Dekantoinnilla on kaksi tehtävää: Antaa viinin hengittää, jolloin makuvivahteet puhkeavat kukkaan ja antaa valon langeta viinin ylle, jolloin sen väri pääsee oikeuksiinsa. Varsinkin vanhemmat viinit ja portviinit on hyvä dekantoida eli kaataa tarjoilua varten pullosta erilliseen karahviin. Näin niistä saadaan pois mahdollinen sakka. Mutta mikä tahansa viini saa juhlan tuntua karahvista tarjoiltuna. Decanter sopii muodoltaan yhteen kaikkien Iittala viinilasien kanssa. Yleispätevä muoto palvelee viiniä ja käyttäjäänsä. Se on täydellinen 75 cl viinipullolliselle. Laakea pohja ja reilu 190 cl tilavuus jättävät tilaa ilmalle. Decanterista saa hyvän otteen ja siitä on helppo kaataa
