Chihuly Glass, Film In New Britain

The works of Dale Chihuly have found a friendly home at the New Britain Museum of American Art, whose exhibit, "Contemporary Glass: Chihuly And Beyond" runs through Oct. 26.

To accompany the exhibit, the museum tonight will show the film "Chihuly in the Hotshop."

The film was inspired by Chihuly´s work at the amphitheater at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Wash., where he created work in front of an audience. Peter West´s documentary encompasses 30 years of Chihuly´s works, including his 13 best-known series.

It will be shown at 1 and 4 p.m. It is 90 minutes and unrated. The New Britain Museum of American Art is at 56 Lexington St. Admission to the screening is free with museum admission.
