Technical Service Manager Glass
Your function:
As Technical Service Manager Glass, based in Dessel, you will develop customer technical support and promote the technical image of the Company at all levels of the glass industry and across the full range of glass applications. You will work closely with the regional Sales Managers and Company Agents in developing and maintaining customer relationships by providing direct technical support to the clients.
You will work with an existing laboratory team advising on the equipment, staffing and management of a new glass support laboratory facility.
You will be involved in marketing and sales activities and must be sensitive to new trends in the market. You will initiate new applications and be part of a team undertaking research, development and innovation.
You manage all aspects of glass related technical service projects and report directly to the Technical Director, MST Sibelco Europe.

Qualifications
Your profile:
You hold a masters degree in civil or industrial engineering (or you have a relevant experience) and you have worked min. 3 to 5 years in a laboratory environment. Good working knowledge of the glass industry is a must.
You are hands-on, driven by targets and you have a flexible and creative attitude when it comes to problem solving.
You show good communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with people from different cultures and at all levels.
You are fluent in English and willing to travel abroad (about 30 % of your time and mainly short trips)
