EDCO Glass Systems is the fastest growing commercial contract glazing company in the Washington, DC market. Voted the No. 1 Subcontractor of the Year in 2003 and 2005 by Associated Builders and Contractors of Washington, DC, the company provides complete design, engineering, fabrication and installation of aluminum glass systems for base building, renovation and interior build-out. The company operates from a state-of-the-art 17,000 square foot fabrication facility located in Sterling, VA. The Position

We are seeking a permanent full-time Project Manager who is professional, a good communicator, detail oriented, highly organized and looking to be part of a growing company with an award winning reputation. The project manager is accountable for efficient and thorough planning, operation and coordination of all aspects of assigned jobs, including gross profit, schedule, quality, safety, billings, communication and documentation. We also provide an outstanding administrative support staff to assist our project managers and help them be successful.
 

Qualifications

Responsibilities and Capabilities

• Guide, direct and coordinate multiple glass and glazing projects ranging from $100k to $5M
• Work and maintain good relations with a wide variety of individuals including GC’s, architects, owners, suppliers, and EDCO employees
• Analyze and interpret architectural and shop/engineering drawings, construction specifications and material takes-offs
• Manage submittals, contract documents, communications, schedule, procurement and monthly billing
• Coordinate project details and methods with input from the Shop Manager, Field Operations Manager, and Draftsperson
• Work with modern standard office productivity software such as MS Excel, Word and Outlook, as well as GDS (beginning MS Project Implementation soon)
• AUTOCAD skills/drafting a definite plus
• Communicate effectively with clients, co-workers and suppliers
• A proven track record of success in project management for commercial contract glazing
• College degree in construction management a plus
• At least 5 to 10 years management experience with curtain wall, storefront, entrances, architectural panels and interior build-out
• Detailed working knowledge of one or more standard curtain wall and storefront systems such as Kawneer, YKK, Vistawall, EFCO, etc.
