These industries include steel, cement and lime, glass, environmental technology, energy, non-ferrous metals and chemical.ANH Refractories Family of Companies currently operates 15 manufacturing facilities and 25 distribution centers in the U.S. and Canada. Annual revenues are approximately $400 million, making the company one of the top competitors in the industry. This position is located at the Vandalia, MO plant. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensures production output meets the requirements established by Corporate Demand Planning. • Aggressively pursues methods to improve costs while maintaining or enhancing service, quality and safety. • Ensures that specific product quality standards are consistently met. • Ensures that property, plant and equipment is maintained according to corporate guidelines. • Controls finished goods inventory according to Supply Chain guidelines. • Provides a workforce culture consistent with values established by the Company • Develops a highly effective functional management team that consistently delivers results. • Represents the Company in the community and promotes the company’s interests. • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement. QualificationsJOB REQUIREMENTS:• B.S. Degree in Engineering, Business or a Science field. • Meaningful plant operating management experience. This would include: • Prior experience as the “Leader” of a manufacturing unit of significant size. • Demonstrated level of maturity. • Experience in managing a union represented workforce. • Demonstrated people management skills including listening and open to suggestions, leading by example, excellent communicative skills at various levels and able to focus on issues without personalizing conflict. • Skilled in the management of change. • Visible and approachable by all employees. • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills. • Scientifically/technically orientated with excellent analytical skills, process orientated and problem solving skills.
