Packaging Analyst / Purchasing

Background of our company:

Located in Bridgeton, New Jersey, Leone Industries is the largest family owned and operated glass container manufacturer in the United States. In our state-of-the-art facility, we produce high quality containers for companies of all sizes, from multi-national food and liquor concerns to small firms crafting organic specialty products. We have been consistently expanding our capacity to meet the needs of customers for whom a glass container is the best choice to showcase their products. With 350 employees at our single-site location, we are one of the largest manufacturing facilities in our area.

Position Description:

Leone Industries has an immediate opening for an experienced Packaging Analyst.

This position is the liaison between the Purchasing and Production Departments and will execute the purchase, expediting and delivery of all Carton and Partition transactions.

The Packaging Analyst issues all Purchase Orders for these items and ensures that Leone Industries receives the best value, delivery, price and service possible.

There is daily interaction with Department Heads and Managers throughout our facility. The successful candidate will have the authority to chose the best vendors possible to service the needs of our company.

The successful candidate will be working on a daily basis with department managers and employees throughout our plant to facilitate smooth operations and maximum production efficiencies. Previous glass manufacturing packaging experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Reporting to the Director of Purchasing, the successful candidate will be very detail oriented with excellent organizational skills. You must be a team player with the ability to work efficiently and effectively with others throughout our plant. Follow up skills are essential

ERP and Microsoft Office experience required.

MFG/Pro expertise a plus.

We are seeking a "hands-on" candidate who possesses a minimum of 5 years progressive Packaging Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. Corrugated packaging experience is a definite plus.
