Reporting To: Glass Factory Manager
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, directing and administering the forming department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead all activity related to achieving process objectives.
Ensures Production"hot End" under the aspects of quantity, date, quality and costs..
Coordination of production schedule.
Coordinate Line Activity with peripheral services ( maintenance , mould shop etc).
Provides guidance, leadership and oversight to production staff to ensure compliance with the overall objectives and quality standards of the department.
Prioritizes, coordinates, and allocates work assignments to staff, and resolves day-to-day staffing problems and issues.
Develop an effective training plan for all department staff members and ensure its execution.
Improvement of production processing, quality and efficiency.
Ensures the appropriate and fair execution of the performance appraisal process among the production department staff.
Ensures effective communication and coordination among the production staff within the department and other departments.
Ensures that all the production expenses are within the range of the departmental budget.
Reduction of downtimes and production cost.
Establishes and maintains appropriate systems for measuring the effectiveness of the department.
Sample production.
Implementation of new production methods.
Reduction of industrial accidents and awareness of ISO standards 9001, 14001 & 18001
Qualifications
Academic and Experience Qualifications
Engineer with long termed experience in the production(Hot End) department of a glass container plant.
Excellent judgment, tact, and decision-making ability.
Excellent management, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Proven track record.
Proficiency in both Arabic and English language (speaking, reading and writing).
Good Computer Skills.
