We seek Apprentice Glass Forming Machine Operators to assume responsibility for
operating the various machines and equipment to manufacture product to the quality specifications at the optimum level of efficiency
maintaining turnout when take-out is down or while padding take-out equipment
assist in the job change process
communicate all changes and problems as they occur to the Production Supervisor
replace defective molds and similar equipment as required
perform QC checks on the ware at various stages of forming to check weight and forming parameters
complete any paperwork necessary
maintain quality housekeeping and good safety practices in the work area
to safely and efficiently operate various machines and equipment in accordance with plant requirements for optimum production of ware of satisfactory quality
to burnoff ware for various finishes according to plant quality specifications.
Qualifications
QUALIFIED candidates will possess
high school diploma or GED
ability to tolerate exposure to acids, fumes, dust, heat, and intense heat for extended periods of time
ability to work various shift schedules
must successfully pass drug test, background check and aptitude test
experience as Machine Operator with a glass manufacturer preferred
